The MK48 is a general-purpose machine gun based on the FN Herstal's Minimi machine gun that is adopted by the United States Army Rangers and Navy SEALs units. This machine gun is technically a scaled-up version of the MK46 light machine gun which uses the standard 5.56mm NATO rounds, due to the War on Terror, Units fighting in Afghanistan constantly found themselves fighting in engagements further than 300 meters, which is pushing the capabilities of the 5.56 round, the MK48 fills that roll perfectly as it shoots the bigger 7.62mm NATO cartridges which could punch further than the intermediate rounds.

This airsoft machine gun features full steel construction, a 1:1 scale, and has realistic weight, even having a quick detachable barrel, all making this bad boy a hefty piece to wield as just like the real thing, this airsoft replica weights above 8 KGs! Externally, this airsoft machine gun, just like the real thing features quad rails, allowing the attachment of accessories such as optics, sights, flashlights, PEQ boxes, and even a foregrip. This airsoft machine gun also features a 14mm CCW threaded outer barrel for the attachment of different muzzle devices such as tracers and suppressors.
Speaking of the quick detachable barrel, the hop-up can be adjustable when removing the barrel or simply opening the top cover. Internally, this MK48 airsoft machine gun features 8mm bearings, a CNC-machined spring guide, and a nozzle as well as featuring full-steel gears, ensuring the reliability and durability of the system, this is something that should be expected as the actual MK48 was also known of its reliability and robustness.
Finally, the Lambda Defense MK48 MK3 PAKA airsoft machine gun comes with a 5000-round auto-winding box magazine that can be activated simply by pulling the trigger of the gun or manually turning on the winding switch located at the bottom of the box magazine.
